Compare CCSE practice apps and sites (2026): prices and sign-up
Sources: Instituto Cervantes, preparación del CCSE; miCCSE; Aprueba Nacionalidad; PreparaES; NacionalidadEspañolaTest; CCSE App, read on 21 October 2026.
To prepare for the CCSE there is a free official manual from the Instituto Cervantes with the 300 exam questions, and several private tools, some free with no sign-up and others with a paid plan. This comparison lists, for each one, what its own website says about price, sign-up and content, read on 21 October 2026.
It is not a ranking: we have not tested every tool and we give none a score. They are in the order we read them, after the official ones. CiviqPass, which publishes this page, has its own row, and we say so here so you can weigh it.

On 21 October 2026 the Instituto Cervantes website could not be opened (maintenance page). The official row repeats what our guides say, read on 17 October, and we will correct it if anything changes. The prices and plans of the other tools change: confirm them on their site before you pay.
What to check before you choose
- Start with the official material. The Instituto Cervantes manual is free and is where the real exam questions come from; everything else is extra practice.
- Count the real cost. The official exam fee (€85) is paid separately in any case. A subscription that renews automatically is cancelled from the app store.
- Check whether it asks for an account. Some tools let you practise with no sign-up and others require an account even for the free plan.
- Practise against the clock. The exam is 25 questions in 45 minutes and you pass with 15 correct: do full mocks, not just single questions. The details are in the exam guide.
- Read the explanations in the language you understand, but learn the Spanish terms too: the real exam is in Spanish.
Where CiviqPass fits
CiviqPass is a practice website with no app, for people who prefer to read the explanations in Arabic, French or English as well as Spanish. It lets you take a full mock for free with no account; it complements the official manual and does not use its questions. You can start the free mock.
