How the questions are written
We write the practice questions ourselves from the public syllabus areas of the CCSE and from public texts such as the Constitution of 1978. They are not the questions of the real exam, and we do not publish the Instituto Cervantes' own questions. Facts about the exam cite their source: the BOE for the law, the Instituto Cervantes for the test format.
Our mock names the area to study next; the real exam is set by the Instituto Cervantes.
Name and spelling
CiviqPass is spelled C-i-v-i-q-P-a-s-s, with a q, and lives at civiqpass.com. Other products have similar names, among them Civic Pass (a digital identity product) and an app called CivicPass. We have no connection to them. CiviqPass covers the Spanish exams only and does not prepare for the French civic exam.
CiviqPass is an independent practice service.
Independence
CiviqPass is independent of the Instituto Cervantes, the Ministry of Justice and every other public body. We read their texts and link to them. A page tells you what the text says and where to read it.
How the questions are checked
Each of the 199 mock questions links to the public page it comes from, and the sentence that supports the answer is copied from that page word for word. The full method, with the list of sources and the update policy, is on the method page.
Who runs it and how to reach us
CiviqPass is run by an individual resident in Spain. The legal notice gives their name and postal address. Questions, corrections and refund requests go to support@civiqpass.com, and we aim to reply within one business day. The privacy page says what data we keep and for how long.
