When registration for 2027 opens
The Instituto Cervantes states: “Apertura del plazo de inscripción para los exámenes de 2027: 23 de noviembre de 2026” (registration for the 2027 exams opens on 23 November 2026). The deadline differs by sitting: 7 January 2027 for the first and 4 November 2027 for the last. On 26 October 2026, the sitting of 26 November is still open, with registration until 5 November 2026.
How much the CCSE costs in 2027
We do not know yet, and we will not guess: the Instituto page with the 2027 dates has no prices. The last published fee is the 2026 one, €85 worldwide (Instituto Cervantes, CCSE frequently asked questions (2026; copy of 7 Aug 2026)). When the Instituto publishes the 2027 fee we will put it here with its source and the day we read it. What the whole process costs, with the application fee and the DELE A2, is in How much Spanish nationality costs: fee, DELE and CCSE.
How to register (2026 rules, not confirmed for 2027)
The 2027 page we read does not explain the process. This is what the Instituto page said for 2026 (Instituto Cervantes, “When is the CCSE test” (2026; copy of 21 May 2026)); it may change:
- Exams are bought in the Instituto’s online shop: tienda.cervantes.org.
- The candidate has 14 calendar days from registration to ask for a refund.
- The date of the sitting or the centre can be changed while registration for that sitting is still open and places remain.
After you register
To practise while you wait: the free CCSE mock, with 25 questions and 45 minutes like the real test. The format and the pass mark are in CCSE exam: questions, duration and pass mark.
